Dorothy Bevill Champion, originally from Surrey, England, of a family established in the cat world, moved to the United States in 1900 and became established as an authority on cats in her own right. In this book she gives short descriptions of some of the major cat types from Abyssinians to Manx, covers the basics of breeding and raising cats, and the basics of showing.
